Copy the above into notepad and call it anything.reg, make a backup if need be.
Right-click Computer>Properties>Advanced System Settings>Remote (Uncheck the box there)
Windows+R key then run type services.msc and disable Remote Registry | SSDP Discovery Service & UnPnP Device Host,

Windows Search service (also I right click C:\ and uncheck the last checkbox also)

Right click Computer>Properties>Advanced System Settings>Advanced>Settings(performance)>Advanced>Change>Custom size>2048-2048, try higher on yours
Open network and sharing center >Change adapter settings>right-click connection>properties>(TCP/IPv4)>Advanced>Wins tab>Disable NetBIOS over TCP/IP
Ditching Norton and getting avast would speed things up too, also get a good defrag program like Diskeeper and defragment your MFT on boot.
